Book Collide (Blackcreek Book 1) Review :

___________________________Positives:If your looking for a sweet, easy to read, quick, contemporary, m/m book, then this is definitely the book for you. I read this book in one sitting. I’ll be honest though, when I first read the sample it took we a few weeks before I picked it up and bought it, but after that I couldn’t put it down. I kept hoping for more for the couple. I kept hoping for the happy ending and wanting to see their love unfold in this book. I loved Wes and Braden in this book too (their side characters) and how it actually makes sense to make a second book about them because there’s spicy things happening with them lol. This book was definitely a good read especially if your just getting into m/m books.Negatives:I’ve read better honestly. Was it good? Yes. Was the plot cute? Yes. Have I read something very, VERY, close to it before? Yes! But the reason I took off a star is not because I’ve read similar things to this book, because that just wouldn’t be fair, but I took off a star because near the ending I actually was getting distracted and not feeling the love as much. I’m not sure if it was just me, but nearing the end I kinda lost touch with the characters. In the beginning and middle of the book though I was hooked! Still a good book.___________________________Rates 1-5Plot: 4Characters: 5Ending: 2Beginning: 5Details⬇️: 5(1: to little/3: to much/5: perfect)Story overall how it’s told: 4Sexual tension: 5Sex scenes: 4Overall rating: 4___________________________Yes/no/maybeWould I recommend: yesWould I re-read: noWould I read more books by author: yesWould I read more books like this: YESAfter reading, I would recommend: HimBy: Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy___________________________
Noah and Cooper were childhood friends separated by the follies of their families. Years later, Noah is back in Blackcreek ready to start over when Cooper literally collides into him on a dark road. Cooper was not expecting to hit his childhood best friend with his truck, and yet there they are, meeting again for the first time in years, with Noah gasping from pain of being hit by a vehicle. The story of their relationship and how they both deal with the pain from their past while forging ahead with their relationship is sweet and of course our guys get their happy ever after. This was a pretty standard Gay For You love story. It followed the formulaic theme, and although there was angst, it was pretty clear from the start that Cooper and Noah would end up together. Although I wasn’t wow’ed by the story, I still enjoyed it. There’s a lot of steamy sex, hurt/comfort moments, and sweetness that the book is still quite enjoyable.
